These days it shouldn’t even be argued whether there is a high demand for hybrids. It’s just that obvious that there is. As more car buyers are looking toward hybrid vehicles to rescue them from their conventional gas powered vehicles.
Now to go even further, it should come as no surprise that sales for hybrid vehicles have jumped to 32% within the first 2 months of this year. That is compared to the same time period of last year, 2012.
According to market research firm Gartner Inc. the long term forecast of hybrid sales in the U.S. could double by the end of the decade.
That is an impressive prediction. Now with things of this sort, it’s usually best to just sit back and wait to see if it’s accurate. But with gas prices as high as they are now, it won’t be that hard for such a prediction to come through.
That, and seeing that more automakers are jumping on the hybrid band wagon. There will be more and more variety of hybrids to choose from as the time goes by.
