The 2014 Panamera S E-Hybrid sports a higher performance battery and a more powerful motor than the Panamera S hybrid, a concept they had originally made. One of the most fascinating features about this hybrid, is the convenience of it being able to be charged at public charging stations or from home and the batteries can receive a full charge in approximately 2 hours via a 240v power source.
In regards to the range in full electric mode, Porsche estimates it being capable of doing greater than 20 miles. Not too shabby. In the power department, the vehicles hybrid system has a power output of 416hp and the electric motor produces 95hp. Electrical power is provided by a newly developed 9.4 kWh lithium- ion battery.
The 0 -60 time of the Panamera SE-Hybrid is achieved in 5.2 seconds and when in all electric mode, this hybrid vehicle can reach a top speed of 84 mph.
The all new Porsche Panamera S E-Hybrid goes on sale in late 2013 with prices starting at US $ 99,000. Let’s just lounge back and see how Porsche fans will take to this new plug in or will you be one of them running to get one in your garage?
