[IAA] The Porsche 911 at the IAA: Typical looks, lots of upgrades

Come the IAA 2011, and the cars that are on display are nothing short of pure magnifience. However, one of the cars being launched at the show is the Porsche 911, which once again proves that the company has stopped thinking beyond a certain boundary somewhere. Like all other Porsche cars in the past 10 or 11 years, this one too has very little in eye-candy difference and you would not be able to tell its novelty at first look.

The car definitely has some cool features that makes it stand out such as the 100 mm longer wheelbase, and the shorter front and rear overhangs. Uprated topmarket engines are also going to be the name of the game for the Porsche with the Carrera with 3.4 litre engine that packs 350HP as well as a 3.8-litre engine that packs 400HP. In some cases, it is also 45 kgs lighter. All these inclusions however have not generated enough interest just yet, with only two cars being pre-registered so far, however if you’d like to grab one of these, come December and you’d be behind the wheels.
