Just yesterday we were discussing Nissan’s ambitious 12,000 by December target for the Leaf and talking about how steadily it is marching towards its goal. What might add some clarity to that is that the newest statistics show that Nissan has sold over 4,000 Leafs in the United States since its launch in December of 2010. Considering it has sold only in Arizona, California, Hawaii, Tennessee, Texas, Oregon and Washington that is definitely no mean feat. To add to that Nissan has stated that over 350,000 buyers have expressed interest in staying updated on the Nissan, which shows that there is a huge pool of wannabe buyers there.
To promote the Leaf further, Nissan has kicked of its “Drive Electric Tour” in Long Island, NY as of 8th of July.
