Aiming to provide easier mobility to people with disabilities, this concept car opens in the back to provide easy access to wheelchairs (watch video) which will also serve as the car seat, eliminating the need to switch seats. Just like the iconic yellow cabs of New York City, England has the Hackney carriages called the LTC black cab roaming the streets of London but a new cab design coming from Japanese carmaker Nissan is on its way near the end of 2014.

The new taxis will be the first electric taxis with zero emission, a breathe of fresh air for a city that suffers much with air pollution. Based on the NV200 multipurpose platform of Nissan, the cabs will be built by Nissan Design Europe (NDE) in Paddington.
