Ford F-150 to Offer Ability to Run on Compressed Natural Gas; Sales of Ford CNG-Prepped Vehicles Continue Growth

Ford will offer the 2014 F-150 with the ability to run on compressed natural gas, making Ford the only manufacturer with an available CNG/LPG-capable half-ton pickup in the U.S.

The 2014 Ford F-150 with 3.7-liter V6 engine will be available this fall with a factory-installed, gaseous-fuel prep package that includes hardened valves, valve seats, pistons and rings so it can operate on either natural gas or gasoline through separate fuel systems. Read more

Austin Martin is no stranger to the race track. But it’s new vehicle will be the first of ti’s kind to race in an international event.  The vehicle is based on the company’s 4-door sports car and is called the Rapide S. What makes this vehicle so unusual is that it is powered by hydrogen.

The Rapide S will be competing next month in the 41st ADAC Zurich 24 hours of Nerburgring. The heart of the vehicle will be a 6.0 liter twin turbo charged V12, having the capability to run on wither pure gaseous hydrogen, straight gas or a combo of the two. Read more

Bentley Motors today confirms that it will proceed with the development of the Bentley SUV, the company’s fourth model line. The SUV will be made in Crewe and will go on sale in 2016.
