Cupra Tavascan announced at the IAA
The sporty Seat subsidiary Cupra shows a SUV coupe the upper middle class with electric drive. The Spaniards announced the Tavascan Concept for the IAA fair in Frankfurt am Main, which begins on September 12th.
With that, Cupra continues to weave a thread that the brand recorded at the Geneva Motor Show in the spring – in every respect. Because the Tavascan is not only the stylistic, somewhat sleeker development of the then shown Formentors. Technically, the car makes the next step: While the Formentor is a plug-in hybrid, the Tavascan drives purely electrically.
306 hp and 6,5 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h
Driven by one engine per axle, it comes to the manufacturer according to 225 kW / 306 hp and accelerates in 6.5 seconds from 0 to 100 km / h. For maximum speed Seat does not give any information. There is a battery in the floor of the car which has a capacity of 77 kWh and should deliver electricity for up to 450 kilometers. However, the Formentor is ahead of the new Cupra Tavascan in one respect: it has a series approval for 2020. There are no official statements about the prospects for the Tavascan.
