You may have already seen a BMW X1 before but this one here is different: it’s an electric version. It’s more like a “hybrid test vehicle” which could mean BMW is gearing up for an all-electric version and is expected to reveal one soon.
That’s just one meaning but it could also mean nothing. A hybrid version sure sounds interesting, to the delight of the green enthusiasts, but that looks far from happening. The closest we could image is a gas-electric model of the X1 crossover.
The idea isn’t strange, really. Toyota is working with Tesla to make an electric version of the RAV4 EV so why not BMW. It’s just a matter of time before more and more car makers go into the electric vehicle bandwagon.
