The BMW Group has selected 530 worldwide dealers for the distribution of its own electric cars. In Germany 47 dealers were provided for the introduction of the “i3” and “i8” which represents approximately every tenth BMW dealers in Germany, reports the newspaper “Handelsblatt”.

Unlike previous product launches BMW will run the cars through their own books and therefore the dealer take largely from the risk, it said.

In Germany, BMW plans reported to have a nationwide distribution network, so the way to a BMW dealer and his shop never be longer than 100 kilometers in rural areas should. The range of all-electric “i3” is estimated to be 150 kilometers.

The car, which is expected this November in the trade should cost around 40,000 euros.
