Ford seems to be on the roll with expansions and announcements. After announcing plans of starting the manufacturing of EV-vehicles in China, Ford has now announced a new Metal Fiesta range to its already existing Ford Fiesta line. What’s different about the Metal Fiesta? Apart from a 1.6-litre Duratec petrol engine, it is available in three exotic, stylish colors such as Panther Black, Midnight Sky, and Frozen White. It also has a lower ride height, 17-inch black alloys, chrome twin exhaust pipes, and a silver front grille. The insides are as pretty as the exterior with Ebony Black leather sports seats which has a silversish contrast stitch, a Black centre console, stainless steel door plates, and all the logos surround with a silver piping.
Expected to sell at £15,695. Ford has decided to limit production for now to 1000 units unless proper interest can be guaged.
Ford’s marketing director Anthony Ireson said: “Many drivers want to drive a car with lower emissions but still want comfort, performance and an affordable price. Expanding Econetic across the series answers that demand, with style.”
On the more economic front, Ford is also introducing the Econetic engine in mid-range Zetec and top-of-the-range Titanium models.
